Inspiration post: Halloween costumes, part 2!

If you're looking for ways to make Halloween costumes that are environment and budget-friendly, The Idea Store is the place for you.

Last time we shared costume ideas for children and families. This time it's all about the adults!

(Including teachers, who are some of our favorite adults.)

Here's a fantastic roundup of costumes! It was hard to pick a favorite, but the 90s kids on staff had a soft spot for the Bjork swan dress and the Sanderson Sisters.

For teachers and reading enthusiasts alike, here are 46 costumes based on book characters! Including one from Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs, which is -- in our humble opinion --cloudy with a chance of awesome.

And finally... can you tell we're big fans of reading around here (we have a huge selection of art, craft, and sewing books)? Here are more book-related costumes! Including an I Spy costume that could easily be made with a t-shirt and a lot of the little bits and bobs we carry.

This is just a small sample of all the fun and creative things you can do this spooky season. Once you've picked your costume, The Idea Store has plenty of fabric, buttons, sewing thread, yarn, paint, paper, and much more to get you going.

And of course, if you're looking for something specific, give us a call at 217-352-7878 or stop by with questions. We're always happy to help!

Stay creative,
